Professional Internships
Professional internships are a mandatory and specific subject in the curriculum of the Higher Arts Education in Design at ESDAPC. It involves practical training that students must complete during the final year of their studies, prior to the completion and defense of their Final Degree Project. Completing these internships achieves two basic objectives:
- To complete, expand, and consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the Higher Design Studies.
- To achieve the professional competencies specific to these studies.
This practical subject is conducted through agreements with collaborating workplaces where students carry out their professional internships. The subject acts as a bridge between the training received at the Higher School and the professional design environment. Regulations:
- Students must complete their internship during the same academic year in which they enroll. Failure to do so will result in an “NP” (Not Presented) grade, and the student will need to re-enroll the following year.
- The Final Degree Project can only be assessed if the internship has been completed before the second-semester evaluation in June (check the calendar).
- There is no September assessment period.

Educational Guidance Service
The Educational Guidance Service aims to support students throughout their academic journey, offering assistance in personal, social, academic, and professional areas. The educational guidance service works to facilitate adaptation to academic life, promote skill development, and ensure that every student has the necessary resources to successfully progress in their studies.
From this service, the main objectives are:
- Academic and professional guidance: offering advice on decision-making regarding the training pathway, specializations, internships, continuation of studies, and potential career opportunities.
- Detection and monitoring of educational needs: identifying difficulties that may affect learning and coordinating educational support measures.
- Personalized attention in specific situations: intervening and supporting students in cases where personal, emotional, or social factors interfere with academic performance, with the aim of facilitating their adaptation and well-being.
To request support from the Educational Guidance Service, students must contact their reference tutor, who will manage the referral.
